Support - Post Op FAQ
Post operative support is very important for any patient’s success. As the inability to comply with behavior modification can affect one’s ability to be successful, support is necessary to encourage patients in that front. There are different kinds of support given as some issues are better handled in a group support atmosphere while others require one on one with a psychologist, kind of support.
The support group will help in facilitating relationships with other patients who have been through the same procedure as you. The advantage of participating in a support group is that, those who attend support groups can provide diverse and/or unique solutions to the problems you are encountering which is vital. Also, the professionals that facilitate the support group have in-depth experience and act as an ongoing resource to ensure you are receiving the care you need to be successful in your post operative period.
